Work with Young People

Research indicates that young people are more susceptible to problem gambling than adults. We have therefore commissioned Tacade, a not-for-profit organisation, working with Nottingham Trent University, to create materials specifically aimed at this group. 

1. 'Just another game' was written for the 13 to 19 age group and aims to raise their awareness of gambling issues in order to help prevent problems.   
2. 'You bet' was written for use with young people in the 11 to 16 age group. 

Many of the activities in the education packs will enable young people to develop personal and social skills that are also relevant to a wide range of choices and not just to gambling.

10,000 copies of these packs are being provided free of charge to teachers and youth workers. Free training on the use of the materials is also available.
